Made in Africa: Arise's 2011 N.Y. Fashion Week Show In its fourth appearance at New York Fashion Week, Arise magazine made a return to the city this fall with its much-anticipated Spring 2012 group show, entitled Made in Africa. The showcase -- featuring seven African designers -- was intent on displaying the diversity of African style to an international audience. Metallic oranges to deep hues of blue and red colored the runway, while traditional fabrics and prints took a backseat to silk and satin, capturing the versatility of fashion design on the continent.
